Basketball

To ensure participant protection, students are required to wear a facemask and to maintain social distancing. A sanitized ball will be provided and is not shared with other students. Our class focuses on personal skill training through fun activities avoiding personal contact. We encourage participation and self-improvement. Students will learn the rules and essentials through skill-based games and scrimmages. By the end of the week, your child will walk away with knowledge along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and self- discipline. We have been following above protocol successfully and kids love and enjoy it!

Note: Students should wear appropriate sport clothing, bring a water bottle and snacks.

Art Camp

Our Art camp, which is designed for Young kids age 5-12, is a great way for you little ones who are interested in creativity. This camp will engage children in creating a landscape, drawing, and anime with the instructor. The instructor will provide step by step instruction to create each of the theme projects. Kids can also enhance the project based on their imagination and creativity. Please note- the project may be differ. All kid’s projects results will be based on their age, effort and expertise.

Cooking Camp

Breakfast is delicious any time of the day! Countries around the world have their breakfast specialties and we will cook and taste 2-3 different international breakfast items each camp day. From Finnish French Toast to Chilean potato egg tortillas to Guatemalan plantain pancakes with banana sauce …. Your children will learn about countries around the world while savoring different breakfast fare. Mmmmmm!

Your child will have delicious fun while we take the necessary precautions to protect them and the teachers from the spread of the virus. We are following health guidelines stringently.

Note: Registration includes lunch, apron and recipes emailed at end of camp week.

Fun with Science

For kids of all ages, the benefits are enormous. Doing science projects helps develop a child’s resourcefulness, particularly their skills at goal-setting, planning, and problem-solving. It also nurtures intellectual curiosity, helping children acquire new ways of asking questions and understanding the world.

Scientific exploration is a great summertime activity for families or just plain old-fashioned fun during the school year. When accomplished in a non-competitive home or after-school environment, children are free to discover new interests that often lead to fascinating hobbies or educational pursuits.

Spy Academy (ages 6-11)

From decoding messages to metal detectors and night vision, campers check out spy tech equipment and take-home lots of gadgets! Step into the shoes of a detective as you uncover the science involved in evidence gathering and analysis! Figure out the science of forensics and reveal who is behind those crazy capers! Become a super spy and learn clever ways of performing tasks as we take a hands-on view of the science that spies and detectives use! (Children must know how to read and write full sentences)

Jet Cadets (ages 6-11)

Explore the basic principles of flight, ride a hovercraft, build airplanes, and construct balloon copters! This hands-on Mad Science program teaches you all about aerodynamics and the world above us! Discover the mysteries of the galaxy, learn how to navigate using the stars, and take home a rocket you build yourself!

Reactions in Action (ages 6-11)

Dive into the realms of the Chemical and Physical world in this crazy week of non-stop action – and Reaction! Explore our wonderlab and find eggs that don’t break, ice that doesn’t melt, and discover how to freeze time! Perform spectacular hands on experiments and continue the fun at home with the gadgets you’ve designed in the lab!

NASA: Journey into Outer Space (ages 6-11)

Mad Science and NASA have teamed up to bring you the excitement and wonder of space in this new voyage of discovery. See the principles of thrust and propulsion at work as we explore the atmosphere on earth and beyond! Watch star dust burn, and journey through a galaxy as you investigate the life cycle of stars. Explore the farthest reaches of our solar system and create a lunar eclipse in this “mad” planetary tour. Probe the mysteries of meteors and bounce around satellite light as you learn about space phenomena. It’s out of this world!

STEAM with LEGO®

STEAM with Lego camp is a quest for young children's curiosity and desire to create, explore, and investigate the world of early science, technology, engineering, art, and math (STEAM) through creative play. Each day different challenges will be assigned to students. The children will grow their understanding of gears, motion, measurement, and solving problems together in a fun and engaging way. This camp is an excellent way to introduce budding builders to key concepts of STEAM through design, observation, prediction, reasoning, and critical thinking while building teamwork and communication skills.

Chess

Polygon Academy provides an exciting and enriching chess camp for children ages 5-12. Chess camps led by a professional chess instructor teach children of different abilities to play and improve their games. The novice level is also welcomed and will experience chess lessons and play in a fun-filled environment.

Each day consists of chess instruction and competitive play. Our goal is to make chess fun, teach the game to all players each day of the chess camp program.

Gymnastics

Gymnastics camp is designed to introduce young athletes to Gymnastics in one setting. Athletes will learn the rules and essentials through skill-based games. By the end of the week, your child will walk away with knowledge along with vital life lessons such as respect, teamwork, and self- discipline. Groups: At each we place campers into groups based on age and ability.

It’s a multitude camp where kids will get to explore and enjoy Art, Lego, Cooking, Craft, Martial Art, and Basketball etc. Each day kids will get to do one of the above listed activities (note-sometimes some activity may repeat or skip as it depends upon availability). In Lego kids are inspired to learn and apply STEM concepts in the projects. Polygon Academy emphasis on hands-on experience and learning. They will be involved from planning to design to build a project themselves. In Art kids will be involved in creating beautiful art with acrylic paint. They will learn different brush techniques and color mixing. In Cooking kids will be cooking a cupcake or cookies from scratch. Please let us know if your kid has any allergies. In Craft kids will be a way for kids to explore cognition of planning and imagining different craft projects. Depend upon availability in basketball kids learn dribbling - Set Shot after dribble, Bounce, and Chess Pass and more. Please note- the project may be different each camp. All kid’s projects results will be based on their age, effort and expertise.
