Polygon Academy Art Clay camp offers creative clay making art for ages 5-12 during weekly camp. Students learn how artists experiment with clay materials to create unique works with art as they create their own using clay. They will be making projects using clay and will be fired in the kiln after drying. After firing the projects will be brought back for glazing by kids and will be fired again. Campers have fun with new friends as they create works of art and explore their creativity. The experienced art teacher will teach kids handling will also guide them in their creation of clay art. Clay making is a little messy so please have kid dress up with clothes that you are OK to get muddy(dirty) with the clay.
The projects will NOT be ready to take home by Friday. We will update you once the second firing is done.
Students can expect to make new work each day Monday through Friday. Class time will include time for clean-up, an integral part of the process. Class descriptions are subject to change depending on the ability levels of participating students.
